Our Favorite Stories of the Trip

A few moments that still get brought up whenever we talk about the trip.

Charlie’s Favorite Story

The one worth retelling forever

So many great stories, hard to pick one. Couple I think I’m gunna take to the grave… One of my favorite has to be getting hammered at a beer garden in Austria with a bunch of high schoolers. Them showing us their favorite spot in the city, sharing what they think/know about America and teaching Larken how to open a beer using his phone. I slammed a liter of beer for them, which they found very impressive. Did not realize at the time that’s close to 3 beers. Yet, once I committed, I had to finish. Great time.

Larken’s Favorite Story

The one everyone still laughs about

One of my favorite stories is probably when we went out to eat at a nice seafood place in Tarragona when we were drinking wine and pouring it out of the wrong hole in the vase looking thing that they gave us. The waitress thought we were idiots but it was hilarious that is took us two bottles to figure it out.

Dylan’s Favorite Story

A perfect mix of chaos

Hard for me to narrow down one part of the trip that was my absolute favorite, but I think I’ll go with when we were in Dublin for our second time around. We went out day drinking and met some Irish guys. The whole day was full of live-music, dancing, meeting new people, and a very memorable Burger King (IYKYK). The next day we ended up meeting a guy from Canada, named Layne and went out with him. I had the time of my life at the end of that night. At our very last bar, there was an artist playing live music and everyone in the bar kept asking him to stay for “ONE MORE SONG” and ended up staying almost an hour past his end time.

Favorite Country: Italy

Italy, I would have to go with Italy as my favorite. Seeing the Coliseum, the Vatican, eating all the amazing food. Visiting lake Como, spending time in the Mountains. We really got a good taste of Italy and what it had to offer.

Favorite City: Florence, Italy. The club scene in Florence was one of the best we visited. The food there was the 2nd to none. I made sure to try all their top rated sandwiches shops. I also found the history of Florence very fascinating. It’s definitely a place I would like to visit again.

Favorite Country: Italy

Italy, one place I always wanted to go to. It had everything from beaches, history, and mountains. Lake como and the alps were insanely cool. Driving into the mountains to hike was one of the highlights of my trip.

Favorite City: Nice, France. This is a tough one. I would have to say I had some of the most fun in Nice, France. We were insanely close to Monaco and there were some really cool beaches not that far away. The Airbnb suckeddd tho. Close second in Florence & Amsterdam.

Favorite Country: Germany

It's a toss up between Germany and Spain. While Spain had excellent tourist spots and felt like living in paradise, my favorite country must go to Germany. The architecture is beautiful and the abundance of castles is breathtaking. Also, seeing the Cologne Cathedral (Kölner Dom) when we first got off the train was unbelievable.

Favorite City: Tarragona, Spain. I ABSOLUTELY LOVE TARRAGONA AND WILL BE BACK! Everything was cheap, the buildings were super cool (and all were painted with bright colors), white sand beach, AND there is clearly some Roman influence there too, which was awesome to explore around.
